Touched by the passing of Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey, Pat Badger (an original member of the multi-platinum rock act Extreme) set out to form the Dark Desert Eagles. Badger is an enormous fan of The Eagles’ musicianship, vocal harmonies and timeless catalog. Having toured the world with Extreme, and having been a part of a group that sold over 10 million records featuring Top 10 hits like Hole Hearted and the Number 1 Grammy nominated smash hit More Than Words, Pat Badger had a vision for the types of musicians he would need to create the ultimate tribute to The Eagles.

The musicians in Desolation Angels are seasoned veterans of the local music scene North of Boston. They came together in winter of 2021 to try to present the music of Bad Company and Paul Rodgers as authentically as possible. The band is comprised of Rick Reda on vocals, Duffy Bouchard on drums, Eric Hanson on keyboards, Adam Elliott on bass, and Brian Fernald and Kevin Meaney on guitars.

AM GOLD formed when NYC drummer, Dan Wintersteen threw a Yacht Rock party with musician friends for his 30th birthday. Yacht Rock was something that resonated with him – he grew up sailing with his father in Western New York and spent his high school years working at the local Yacht club:
“One thing I always noticed was that there was always this adult contemporary pop and jazz-rock music playing at the Yacht Club, so when I heard about Yacht Rock, I was immediately amused and inspired to do something fun with this.”
Dan got some of his musician friends together and performed various shows in the Greenwich Village of NYC. The parties were a huge success and it was apparent that there was demand for this kind of music.

G. Love & Special Sauce is an American Hip-Hop Blues band known for its unique fusion of
hip-hop, blues, funk, and soul. Formed in 1993 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the band
originally featured Garrett Dutton, aka G. Love, as the lead vocalist and guitarist, Jeffrey
Clemens on drums, and Jim Prescott on bass. The trio quickly gained attention for their
laid-back, groovy style and G. Love’s unique vocal delivery, blending rap-like spoken word with
bluesy singing.
Their debut self-titled album, G. Love & Special Sauce, was released in 1994 on Epic Records
and included the hit single “Cold Beverage,” which became popular on alternative radio stations
and MTV, solidifying their presence in the music scene. The band’s style has been described as
a mix of “slacker blues” and “alternative hip-hop,” as they frequently incorporate elements of 90s
hip-hop beats with classic blues rhythms.
Over the years, G. Love & Special Sauce has released numerous albums, including Coast to
Coast Motel (1995), Yeah, It’s That Easy (1997), The Electric Mile (2001) and the GRAMMY
nominated The Juice (2020). Their sound evolved to include more soul, R&B, and rock
influences, though they retained their laid-back vibe and clever lyrical play. Their 2014 album
Sugar saw a reunion of the original lineup after several years, and they continued to tour and

Hailing from the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Makua Rothman is a WSL World Tour Big Wave Champion and musician. Alongside multi time Diamond and Platinum artist, producer and writer Jimmy Messer, they have achieved great success with their distinct blend of reggae, rock, rap, and soul, appealing to an international audience. During the Volcom Pipe Pro in 2023 on the infamous north shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Rothman suffered a horrifying wipeout that resulted in a severe knee injury, requiring surgery and extensive rehabilitation. Forced to reassess his career path and consider alternative avenues to express his creativity, Makua reflected “What was I gonna do? Give up? Run and hide? Or use this adversity as a blessing and an opportunity to grow?” During his recovery period, he turned to his second passion—music. Founded and led by original frontman, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Kurt Neumann, the band’s catalog consists of generational anthems such as “Good Things,” You Don’t Get Much,” “Idaho,” and “Closer To Free,” just to name a few. However, they still reflect the soul and spirit of the modern American experience on their fourteenth full-length offering, 4 The Last Time.
“The music of BoDeans has defined much of my life,” muses Kurt. “I consider myself fortunate to be able to do what I enjoy. I wanted to creatively do something positive for the world instead of just taking from it. So, this is what I’ve chosen to do with my life. The music was always about the blue-collar dream of a better life, and it still is.”
BoDeans emerged out of Waukesha, WI in 1986 with the seminal debut, Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams, produced by T Bone Burnett. Following Outside Looking In [1987], Home [1989], and Black and White [1991], Go Slow Down [1993] yielded “Closer To Free,” which famously served as the theme song for the smash hit television series Party of Five. With a sought-after discography, their music landed hundreds of television and film placements. Meanwhile, they transformed into a proven live phenomenon by supporting the likes of U2, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, The Pretenders, and David Bowie in addition to gracing the bills of Farm Aid, Summerfest, and ACL. Speaking to the group’s legacy, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame permanently entrenched BoDeans in the Midwest Artists exhibit. Most recently, 2017’s Thirteen arrived to widespread acclaim from The Chicago Tribune and Glide Magazine who spotlighted the music’s “understated grace—an attribute that no doubt fuels the steadfast approach Kurt Neumann has employed of his thirty-plus years as a ‘BoDean’.” Along the way, NETFLIX’s The Ranch also utilized over 70 tunes from Kurt, and he launched his own podcast Staring At The World.

Leonid Vorobyev’s goal was a studio project in dedication to Chicago under the motto “musicians for musicians”. Hailing from the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Makua Rothman is a WSL World Tour Big Wave Champion and musician. Alongside multi time Diamond and Platinum artist, producer and writer Jimmy Messer, they have achieved great success with their distinct blend of reggae, rock, rap, and soul, appealing to an international audience. During the Volcom Pipe Pro in 2023 on the infamous north shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Rothman suffered a horrifying wipeout that resulted in a severe knee injury, requiring surgery and extensive rehabilitation. Forced to reassess his career path and consider alternative avenues to express his creativity, Makua reflected “What was I gonna do? Give up? Run and hide? Or use this adversity as a blessing and an opportunity to grow?” During his recovery period, he turned to his second passion—music. Growing up in a family with a rich musical heritage, he had always carried a love for music and was greatly influenced by his family and the gifted musicians of the North Shore. Coming from a lineage of talented musicians, including his uncle IsraelKamakawiwo’ole, Rothman was exposed to the power of sound from an early age. Enter Jimmy Messer. Multi-diamond and platinum selling musician, writer, composer and producer, Jimmy Messer has a long standing successful career, writing, producing and composing original music for famous artists like Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, AWOLNation, Kygo among many others. His music has been used in large TV ad campaigns for BMW, Wix.com during the Super Bowl. In addition, Jimmy, a multi instrumentalist has composed original themes songs for companies like Apple +, NBC, VH1, among others. A match made in heaven with a shared passion for both music and surfing, the pair have headlined intimate gigs and supported artists on global tours such as AWOLnation, Sublime, Matisyahu, Slightly Stoopid, Steel Pulse and more. October 2024, Makua and his band opened Eddie Vedder’s annual, Ohana Festival 2024, where Vedder introduced Makua and graced the stage to play a song together. The response was overwhelming. Thus far in 2025, Wiz Khalifa joined Makua on the bands “Clear the Air” track and music video, followed by a 30 show North American tour with AWOLnation that included an international leg with stops in 8 different countries. Following the tour, the band made an appearance at BottleRockNapa Valley and is booked for a triumphant return at Ohana Festival 2025.
