About Jillian Cardarelli
After a great year of songwriting, performing in New England, New York and Nashville, and opening for artists including Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Scotty McCreery, and Danielle Bradbery, Jillian is honored to end 2014 performing on The Blue Ocean Stage.
The sweet sound of country music is what twenty-two year old Jillian Cardarelli is all about. This Massachusetts native, singer/songwriter, developed an early passion for country music, growing up in Haverhill, listening to the heartfelt words and melodies of such greats as George Strait, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and Merle Haggard playing from her grandfather’s living room stereo. Jillian started singing in her church cherubs’ choir at the age of four, and it didn’t take her long to realize that on stage is where she wanted to be.
New England Country Music Organizations Female Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year for 2012/2013, Jillian's sound can be described as a breath of "fresh air country." She has opened for numerous country artists, including Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, the legendary band Alabama and Country Music icon Willie Nelson. She has performed at many different venues from county fairs to Fenway Park. Jillian is currently working on music for her new EP to be released in a few months.
Over the past few years Jillian has been regularly singing the National Anthem for the Boston Bruins, the Boston Celtics, the Boston Blades, and the Baltimore Orioles, and now the Nashville Predators. She transferred from Providence College to Belmont University in Nashville, to pursue her music career while completing her college studies.
“My goal is to write and sing songs that touch people. Music is a universal language with which we can all connect, and to me is a beautiful thing.”
