About Sister Hazel
Sister Hazel will be joining us this fall at the Blue Ocean Music Hall. The Florida based band first got recognized with their Billboard charting hit, All For You, in 1997 and has been touring and making music ever since. The band has a loyal and at times intense fan base, otherwise known as "Hazelnuts" that continue to support and inspire the band after each tour and each new release.
For those who remember the 90s alternative rock era, it may be hard to believe that Sister Hazel is celebrating 20 years together as a band this year. Although often pinned in the "Alternative Rock" category, Sister Hazel acquires a lot of inspiration from southern rock, classic, pop and folk music. In the 20 years of being bonded together as a band, they have been through three record labels, eight albums and countless tours. They describe their most recent album Heartland Highway as "American road trip music...one of those discs you can put on and listen to front to back." The band stays connected with their fans in unique ways including fan specific events (that continue to sell out) and something they are very proud of called the Rock Boat, a music festival as sea that invites multiple different acts to join together with their fans on a Carnival cruise ship. Copeland, of Sister Hazel says, "The only way we can keep doing what we are doing is having our fans continue to connect and support us".
