GENERAL FAQ

Where is Blue Ocean Music Hall?
Our address is 4 Oceanfront North, Salisbury, MA. We are conveniently located near Routes 1, 95 and 495, just 40 minutes north of Boston, 30 minutes east of the Lawrence/Lowell areas, and 50 minutes south of Portland, ME. For travel directions, please click here.
What time doors/box office open?
Doors open 90 minutes before show time unless otherwise noted on the schedule. The Box Office generally opens two hours before show time.
Is there parking at the venue?
Show parking is available for a fee in the lot adjacent to Blue Ocean Music Hall and in the Salisbury Beach Municipal Parking Lot within walking distance.
Do you serve food inside the Music Hall?
We offer appetizers, sandwiches and salads with tableside service, as well as a full bar, for your convenience. Doors open 90 minutes before show time unless otherwise noted on the schedule. Additional dining before or after the show is available next door at Seaglass Restaurant (SeaglassOceanside.com) or across the street at Capri Seaside Italian Grill (CapriSeaside.com); reservations are suggested.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes, Blue Ocean Music Hall has two full bars with tableside service and walk-up service.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
The venue is wheelchair accessible and several handicapped parking spaces are available in the on-site parking lot.
Is Blue Ocean Music Hall located on the Beach?
Yes, in fact waves actually break underneath the building! Our floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic ocean views.
How many people will be at the show I attend?
Capacity is nearly 500 people for reserved table shows and general admission - seated shows; capacity is 750 for general admission - standing shows. Most seats in the tiered audience area are located within 50 feet of the stage.
Can I bring in my camera?
You may bring a camera, however flash photography and videotaping are NEVER allowed. Taking numerous pictures and obstructing the view of other patrons is not allowed. Our policy may be changed at any time without notice if the artist deems it necessary for their show.
Can I meet the artist?
Members of the general public are not allowed back stage at any time. Some artists do provide a limited meet-and-greet opportunity at the venue merchandise area following the show.
What is the age requirement? Can my child sit on my lap during a show?
All shows are “all ages” unless posted otherwise on the schedule. When shows are “all ages,” it is up to the parent to decide what is appropriate for their children to see. EVERYONE, no matter what age, needs a ticket for shows at the venue.
Do you have any hotel suggestions?
Overnight accommodations are available in Salisbury, including at the Salisbury Inn, located on 141 Beach Road, 1.800.336.5584 and Shoreline Motel, on the oceanfront at 41 Atlantic Avenue, 1.800.825.4889. A complete listing of hotels/motels/inns can be found at www.salisburychamber.com. Two local hotels in the area offer a special discount if you ask for the “Blue Ocean Rate.” They are: Ashworth By the Sea on Hampton Beach—just 5 miles north of the Music Hall on the ocean, 603.926.6762; and The Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Amesbury, 978.388.3400.
What is your dress code/conduct policy?
Casual, comfortable attire is appropriate; shirts and shoes are required. Out of respect for the artist and your fellow music lovers, we ask that talking is kept to a minimum during the performance.
Is smoking allowed?
Blue Ocean Music Hall is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is allowed before and after performances in our secured outside smoking area.
Do you have a lost & found?
Email us at info@blueoceanhall.com and we’ll do our best to see if the missing item was found or turned in.

Can I rent the Music Hall for weddings, social events, or business functions?

How do I book an artist?
If you are looking to have an artist considered for performing at Blue Ocean Music Hall, send an electronic press kit to booking@blueoceanhall.com. Please do not call the box office.

 

TICKETING FAQ

How do I purchase tickets to Blue Ocean Music Hall?
Online at www.BlueOceanHall.com; by phone at 978.462.5888; in person at the Box Office,
4 Oceanfront North, Salisbury Beach, MA. Box Office Hours: The on-site box office is currently open 90 minutes prior to showtime on show nights only.
Can I choose my seats when purchasing tickets?
You may choose your seats at reserved table seating shows when ordering tickets online or at the box office. Most seats in our intimate setting are within 50 feet of the stage.
How will I get my tickets?
Will Call Tickets
“Will Call” is a term that means you will pick up your physical tickets at the box office the night of the show. The box office is generally open two hours before show time.

Mailed Tickets
If your tickets were mailed to you, simply present them at the door and we will scan them for entry.

Print At Home
If you chose to print your ticket at home, simply present the sheet with the barcode at the door and we will scan it for entry.
I misplaced / didn’t get my tickets.
If the tickets were purchased online or through the Blue Ocean Music Hall box office with a credit card please call 978.462.5888.
Can I get tickets for a “sold out” show at the door?
No, if a show is posted as “sold out” there are not any tickets available. We do not have a waiting list, we do not buy-back tickets already sold, and we cannot resell tickets for people who do not show up.
What if I cannot attend a show that I have purchased tickets for?
All sales are final; there are no refunds or exchanges for purchased tickets unless the show has been rescheduled or cancelled. If you cannot attend a show but would like someone else to use your tickets, they will need your physical tickets to do so. Picking up tickets at the box office requires the photo ID and credit card of the purchaser.
Do you cancel shows due to inclement weather?
If the traveling artist can get to Blue Ocean Music Hall for the show, the show will go on. Only if an artist cannot get to the venue will we ever cancel a show. We do not issue refunds for those who choose to stay home due to inclement weather.
